Recap Digital Fair Week Summer 2023

Welcome to the first Material Story of the new PERFORMANCE FORUM showing summer 2023 within the framework of THE PERFORMANCE DAYS LOOP in cooperation with Functional Fabric Fair. Under the title Still Physical - Your success story of 2020 it was a truly successful Digital Fair Week this May 2021.

The digital sourcing platform will be open all year-round and with this material story, we would like to highlight the most successful fabrics during Digital Fair week.

The FOCUS TOPIC category was of high interest to attendees on the platform. Besides the two outstanding award fabrics you can be inspired by high density woven water-repellent organic cotton, softshell with 3D Jacquard warp-knit, recycled brrrº baselayer knit, 100% biodegradable twill with Abacá, coarse woven fabric from old stock materials, re-dyed printed knit, single jersey with "Young Skin" treatment, high density woven biodegradable polyester, single jersey with SeaCellTM as well as a 100% landfill harmless organic cotton, hemp, linen blend.

The Performance Award was given to Trenchant Textiles SlickrB fabric - an ultralight fabric concept where the membrane is on the outside. This Polypropylene fabric can help brands close the loop and achieve circularity by providing a PFC free solution for durable and technical outdoor garments.

The Eco Performance Award was handed over to the Midlayer Fleece 2174R by Utenos Trikotazas. Hemp is known for natural antibacterial and UV protection and has the most exclusive eco properties. In combination with an organic cotton (GOTS) and TENCELTM this fabric ensures perfect thermal regulation. A fully biodegradable choice.

What makes all these fabrics so special? Our exhibitors have spared no effort in developing innovative fabrics that help brands incorporate sustainable approaches, up to circularity, into their forward-thinking collections reflecting the new consumer demands.
