HEALTH & SAFETY INFORMATION & REQUIREMENTS

We’ve taken proactive steps and implemented guidelines and requirements based on current CDC Guidelines, local public health guidance, and the input of our venue partners to help support a safe and comfortable experience. Our team is constantly reviewing the Functional Fabric Fair requirements. Please check this page often for the most up-to-date information.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Every participant, including attendees, exhibitors, guests and staff, are expected to comply with the health & safety requirements, including, but not limited to:

DAILY HEALTH MONITORING

All participants are asked to review and confirm they are able to comply with the Health & Safety Acknowledgement prior to entering Functional Fabric Fair, including ensuring that they are not currently experiencing any of the symptoms of COVID-19. Anyone who is not feeling well or begins to experience symptoms at any time during Functional Fabric Fair should contact and follow the guidance of their physician. No one is permitted entry to Functional Fabric Fair who is not in full compliance with the health & safety requirements and the Health & Safety Acknowledgement

SANITIZATION AND HYGIENE

Functional Fabric Fair has worked closely with The Oregon Convention Center to implement cleaning and sanitization standards that meet or exceed the recommendations of the CDC. It is the responsibility of everyone to maintain personal hygiene, including washing your hands frequently. 

FOLLOW ALL SIGNAGE AND DIRECTION FROM STAFF

Please adhere to all signage and direction from all staff, including our Safety Ambassadors. We have adjusted our layout and implemented exhibitor recommendations with the wellbeing of our guests in mind. Operational adjustments may occur throughout the event. 

COMPLY WITH THE CODE OF CONDUCT

Please be aware of and respect the personal boundaries of your fellow participants so that everyone can enjoy their time at Functional Fabric Fair.

Health & Safety Acknowledgement

Please make sure that you have reviewed any advisories or restrictions that may be in place for travel to the United States and for travel to Portland. Visit https://govstatus.egov.com/OR-OHA-COVID-19 for information.

Please be advised that a risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any event or public space, including the Event. Prior to registering for and attending the Event, please ensure you have read the latest CDC Guidelines for PreventionBy attending the Event, you acknowledge this inherent risk on behalf of yourself and/or any Minor for which you serve as Guardian and, as a condition of entering the Event, you acknowledge, understand and confirm each of the following in accordance with applicable health guidelines:

  • that you and/or any Minor for which you serve as Guardian will abide by all Event health-and-safety requirements, including wearing an approved face covering at all times;
  • that you and/or any Minor for which you serve as Guardian are not currently experiencing any of the following symptoms of COVID-19, as identified at CDC.gov, including, but not limited to:
    • Fever or chills
    • Cough
    • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
    • Fatigue
    • Muscle or body aches
    • Headache
    • New loss of taste or smell
    • Sore throat
    • Congestion or runny nose
    • Nausea or vomiting
    • Diarrhea
  • that prior to attending the Event neither you nor any Minor for which you serve as Guardian have not been in contact with someone with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 symptoms without completing a 10-day quarantine; and
  • that you and/or any Minor for which you serve as Guardian are not under any self-quarantine or isolation orders; and
  • that Management reserve the right to require proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test as a condition of entry.

For purposes of this acknowledgement, a “Minor” means any individual who is under the age of eighteen (18) or has not reached the age of majority as defined by such individual’s jurisdiction of residence, and a “Guardian” means such Minor’s parent or legal guardian or other individual attending the Event who is over the age of eighteen (18) and acting in loco parentis for such Minor.

Please do not enter the Event or the Venue if you cannot confirm all of the above criteria. If at any point during your time at the Event you and/or any Minor for which you serve as Guardian do not meet all of the above criteria, you and those in your group (which may include your exhibiting company) will be required to isolate and may be relocated or asked to leave the Venue at Management's sole discretion.

Please note: The guidelines in this document are based on information currently available regarding the behavior and characteristics of the COVID-19 virus, public health information and local or state guidelines with respect to large gatherings in any particular community. As more clarity with respect to these variables emerges, it is expected that these guidelines may need to be adjusted accordingly.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

No, however, please note that face coverings are recommended in accordance with public health guidance.  We ask that anyone who is not up-to-date on their COVID-19 vaccinations wear a face covering while attending Functional Fabric Fair.

Functional Fabric Fair show management partners closely with Oregon Convention Center, local, state, and federal health authorities to maintain a robust operational plan designed to maximize the health and safety of everyone. These Include:

  • Strict sanitization and cleaning procedures
  • Hand sanitizing stations
  • Layout design and spaces to promote a safe experience
  • Exhibitor guidelines and booth design standards
  • Reduced contact transactions

Everyone in attendance at Functional Fabric Fair is expected to fully comply with terms of service for participation in  Functional Fabric Fair  including all health and safety requirements. Acknowledging the requirements and agreeing to comply is a condition of entry (See the Health & Safety Acknowledgement). Functional Fabric Fair will have specially designated Safety Ambassadors available to assist with the implementation of our requirements. A health & safety contact phone number will be clearly noted on signage throughout Functional Fabric Fair to allow for reporting of any concerns or issues. 

Show management may remove, ban or revoke the badge without refund of anyone who fails to comply or impacts the safety or security of the Event, each in show management’s sole and absolute discretion

If you have reason to believe you currently have COVID-19 or have been exposed to COVID-19, you should not attend Functional Fabric Fair and consult your physician, including if these conditions emerge while you are at the show.

Please review our Health & Safety Acknowledgement each day prior to attending Functional Fabric Fair to ensure you can comply with all of the requirements therein.
